We cruised along in a junk boat, and it was very posh! It is a very touristy area to go to, as you can see we were not the only ones there despite it being winter in Vietnam too!

OK, it may be dramatic lighting, but the caves were huge. There are thousands of them inside the limestone islands dotted around the bay.

Unfortunaltely the Vietnamese have hunted most mammals to extinction. So we did not see so many animals, we saw this one at a rehabilitation centre and breeding program. This monkey is the most colourful monkey in the world.

All along the roads people lay out sheets to dry there coffee beans in front of their houses. Women then shuffle there feet through it. Chickens peck through it, dogs sleep on it. Then roasted and exported, as Vietnam is the worlds second largest exporter, bet you did not think all that happened before you enjoy your pot of coffee.

We have had a competition to find the moped with the most things or people. This was a good find. Sian has seen a family of five on a bike. Also seen 12 bags of ducks each containing about 8 live ducks, a pig and a mobile kitchen to name a few.

Before we arrived in Dalat, we stopped off at a waterfall which you reach by going down a little rollercoaster. Again, Fitty not used to fairground rides was a little apprehensive.

Fitty and Ocean whilst on the road. We travelled about 160 km each day. Sian and I both grinned all the time as it was such a buzz on the back of the bike taking in all the sights.

Onto the Central Highlands

We left HCMC and travelled up into the Highlands, which was beautiful. Rice fields a plenty, as well as coffee, tea, rubber, tapioca, silk, vegetable, fruit, mushroom and flower farms often helped along by a lone water buffalo.
